Any author who writes books about the paranormal will eventually be asked the question: Do you really believe in all this? For me the answer isn't a simple one. I want to believe. I want to believe Bigfoot is real. I want to believe in aliens. Like my protagonist, Dr. Lauren Grayson, I need evidence. But absence of evidence is not evidence of absence. We need more data. Lauren is absolutely correct about that.
I think it is terribly vain to think we are alone in the universe and that we've discovered everything there is to know about our universe and our world. I think perhaps their are people who know the truth. Why wont they tell us? As Agent K says in Men in Black, "A person is smart. People are dumb, panicky dangerous animals and you know it."
The truth is out there. Just remember, some truths were never meant to be told.
