Big News, Big Thanks, and Big Things Coming!

It's hard to believe it's November already. Where has the year gone? I can tell you; it's been an exciting one and it's going out with a BANG!!
I am thrilled to announce that THE NIGHT DOCTOR'S BLADE, Book 2 of The Manifest Destiny Series officially released and reached #65 on Amazon's Bestseller list in the Conspiracy Thriller (Book) category within 48 hours of its launch. We were right up there with my hero, Dan Brown, and it completely blew our minds. I am so thankful for everyone who has jumped on board with this new series. Seeing our books find an audience so quickly has been incredibly rewarding. A HUGE high-five to my co-author, J.B. Caine for all her hard work on this project. We make a great team and I'm ever-so grateful to work with her. She makes it an absolute joy!
And because you ask (or I know you would if we were chatting), we are making the turn towards home on Book 3. We've hit the high point in the rising action and once the story is done, the editing process can begin. (Watch for news on this exciting chapter for Eliza and Esme!)
I want to take a moment to thank you all, for your support, enthusiasm, and willingness to follow me into the shadows of every investigation and adventure. It keeps me writing with renewed purpose. The Veritas Codex series, and now the Manifest Destiny Series, has grown because you weren't afraid to ask, "Where will adventure take me today?" With every new book, you keep coming back for more. I will never take that for granted. My cup runneth over.
As the year draws to a close, I have a couple more opportunities to connect in person in December:
On December 7th, I'll be at the Garland County Library's "Local Author Day" from 2-4pm.
On December 13th, the East Gate Vape Shop/Rocky's Liquor Store in Hot Springs Village is graciously hosting an author signing event for me at their store from 4-6pm. This will be a great time to do some last-minute Christmas shopping, pick up a hostess gift for your next holiday get together, or a bottle of champaign for your New Years Eve celebration, oh, and some books, too! Don't forget the books!
These events are always a wonderful chance to talk books, stories and the strange corners of the world that inspire my work. If you're in Central Arkansas, I hope you'll make plans to attend. The WriterCon Cruise 2026 - March 7-15th, I've graduated from student to teacher and will be one of the instructors on this writing retreat at sea! The Arkansas Cryptid Fest - June 6th - I'll be a VIP Speaker at the Cryptid Fest held at Ol' Bart at Diamond Bear in Little Rock. Come on out and join us for a day of fun and Cryptids! Meet all the VIP Speakers! Guest Speakers! Vendors! Bigfoot Calling Contest! Cast making class! And so much more. I'll have books and talk about my experiences in the paranormal world. WriterCon 2026 - this is my "home writing conference" and has a standing place on my calendar each year. It's always Labor Day weekend in Oklahoma City. For more details go to www.writercon.com and sign up now! It's held in the historic (and haunted) Skirvin Hotel, and you do not want to miss out.
Ozark Creative Writer's Conference - Eureka Springs, Arkansas - October 8-10th - I'll be teaching a couple of breakout sessions and will have a book table with books for sale as well. If you are a writer, or want to be, this is a terrific event and I'm excited to be a part of it. I've had this one on my calendar for over a year! Arkansas Paranormal Expo - October 24-25th - I had such a good time at this event this year that I’m already on the vendor list for next year. Hosted by Heather Amaro from Expedition X (and local Arkie) this is a must attend event for anyone interested in the paranormal.
I'm sure there will be other events coming up, but these are the ones on my schedule as of today (November 13, 2025).
Before I close, let me tease you just a little about the next book in The Veritas Codex Series. The editors are still working on my manuscript, and it's taken some time - not because it's awful - but because there have been other projects on the editor's plate. We're all busy, so I totally understand. What I can tell you is, the cover design is done, and it is STUNNING. Readers should start getting excited and I promise, as soon as I have a release date, I'll schedule a cover-reveal.
Oh, and if you haven't read THE KRAMPUS CONSPIRACY, featured in Christmas Tapestry: A Collection of Holiday Tales, please take this opportunity. I have hidden a couple of Easter Eggs in my Holiday themed novella about The Veritas Codex team and their hunt for the Christmas Demon, Krampus.
